Dear Tyler Denk & Team beehiiv:

Let me concede something right up front: I know this is an unorthodox way to reach out and make a request.

But look, email inboxes get messy, and if you are going to suck up to a company you genuinely admire, you might as well do so using their platform—in this case, beehiiv.

My name is Andrew Mitchell and I am the Co-Founder and President of North Light AI, a company focused on bridging industry and academics with developing AI technologies.

The mission? Reimagine experiential learning by hiring a community of university students across the country to work, remotely and in person (Durham, NH), at our Generative AI Innovation Lab where, this fall, they will experiment with and learn practical AI with real-world applications on behalf of our industry partners and clients, with a particular emphasis on SMBs.

Am I rambling? (I’m rambling, aren’t I…)

OK, so here’s the scoop:

As of today, 60+ university students across a dozen universities have applied to our Gen AI Innovation Lab. The quality of these students is incredible, ranging from undergraduate and graduate students: Master’s in Computer Science, PhD in Engineering, entrepreneurs, international and domestic, etc.

The students we end up hiring will work on real world projects with North Light AI’s industry partners and clients looking to adopt AI tools safely but who may not no where to start.

 Here’s what I’m asking for / throwing out into the beehiiv universe:

1.) One-Year sponsored subscription to beehiiv.

2.) A sponsorship of our lab which would allow us to hire a dedicated writer for the 2024/2025 academic year.

3.) An interest in engaging with our students in any small way time permits.

 In turn, beehiiv would get:

  • Our undying love and appreciation

  • The usual jazz…Logo featured prominently on our website and in-person lab in Durham, NH, as well as our publication charting our experimental lab.

  • Early access and insights to our research findings and use cases—and early access to incredible AI talent who will graduate with real experience in AI.

  • And this whole magical journey charted through your platform!
